Just got back from a little trip to Dawlish Warren - we stayed @ Leadstone Campsite where we stayed last year.  Nice little place.  Had a run in with a local Pub owner; one of the tacky places by the beach - we made the mistake of ordering food.  Dia-bloody-bolical.  When we complained as the food was so poor it was actually in-edible (this being the first time I've ever actually complained about food) we were told that they don't offer refunds.  Bastards.

Other than that we had a lovely time.  we tried out the new trailer that we got for our bikes.  Loads of people started cooing over Lucas when he was in it, but who can blame them.  Pictures should be about, so take a look.

On the 19th June, Lucas reached 3 years old!  We had a party at his Grammy's flat and had loads of people over.  There were two other VI children there too which was great to witness them playing together.  Well done to Sarah for organising most of it - I was next to useless having only recently returned from the gig and a little on the knackered side.

Green Day are officially amazing. A few people went up to the gig this weekend @ Milton Keynes and had a great time, if you ignore the fact my car broke down, I was 3 hours later than I thought I would be getting home (I had to drive a loan car from the garage, who were an hour late picking me up) and we lost Stroker (don't worry, we found him down the back of the sofa).

See the pics of the event on this site. We missed Hard Fi, but did catch Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World, who were both pretty good. There were a strange lot of people at the gig, ranging from little kids wearing Billie-Joe outfits with their parents to hardened looking Punks. Green Day's popularity has grown amazingly since the release of American Idiot. They have certainly come a long way since Dookie - the first album of theirs I had way back in '94 (Shit! Thats 11 years ago!). I wish they would release their cover of Queen - We are the Champions. I was amazed at the quality of Billie-Joe's voice!

The whole thing was planned and executed perfectly; the songs, pyros, audience participation etc. I want to do it again!

Busy time coming up - we ordered our new car yesterday and should have it in a couple of weeks; on Saturday I am going up to see Green Day in Milton Keynes which should be a great crack.  Then, most importantly, it's Lucas' Birthday on Sunday!  Loads of people have been invited, including several other VI kids.  People are coming from as far afield as Barnstaple to the Isle of Wight.

We are having a party at Lucas' Grammy's flat as the garden is bigger - hoping for sun!  Family will be there and we will be entertained by juggling and face painting, plus all the normal goings on for a 3 year olds party (Hard Liquor, Strippers, Dares, Fights etc)!

Sarah and I spent some time this weekend driving some new cars.  We have managed to narrow it down to two possiblilities: The Citroen Picasso or the Renault Grand Scenic.  We are in quite a quandry - the Grand Scenic is probably a bit better, but is more expensive.  We wouldn't however recommend the Vauxhall Zafira.  Was very plasticy and not all that great to drive.

This past weekend was my Birthday weekend (Sunday 5th).  On the Saturday I drove down to Falmouth with Sarah and Lucas in our Beddy, in readiness for the Wedding of Sandy & Andy on the Sunday @ Pendennis Castle.

We stayed at a really nice campsite called Pennance Mill Farm.  We made our way to the Castle in the morning.  The Service was great and the Bride & Groom looked fantastic.  We then moved on to the Green Lawns Hotel in Falmouth for some food, some speech's and some dancin'.  You just couldn't stop Andy's Mum, but then there's no change there.

Fun was had by all, I spent the evening with Sarah and Lucas, plus some friend's of Sandy's - Erin & Chris.  Quite a quiet affair talking cultural differences (between Britain & America), politics, mocking each other accents and beer, then chasing it down with a shot of Sambuca to finish the evening.

Needless to say it rained the whole time we were camping, though thankfully it did clear up while we packed everything away.  A quick stop (quick for us!) at Truro Hospital as Lucas started to have a bit of an 'episode' (SOD), then we left for home!

I got some nice presents (my main gift being my Motorbike), including; some beads, a Thundercats Hoodie, a Fuct T-Shirt, some music etc.

St Georges Day was spent travelling to Romford to help celebrate Jennie's Birthday
