5月27日 Reel Big FishGot the tickets through - we are off to see Reel Big Fish on Thursday with Dave, Cheryl, Andy and Hannah! Yay! 4月22日 Sarah's BirthdayOn Sarah's birthday we went to Alice in Wonderland park. Sarah used to play Alice at the park when she first moved to Bournemouth, so it was quite interesting to see how it's changed. It was actually pretty good - it helped that the weather was on our side and because it was during the week it wasn't very busy. One member of staff was quite irritating when he kept saying, "ahhh, poor thing" and "isn't it sad" etc etc about Lucas. People don't seem to get it. No he's not a poor thing. He's a little boy with a physical inconvenience. If you keep telling him he's a poor boy he's going to start believing it.
Stragely, Will Mellor from off of the telly was there. Alice in Wonderland is apparently the place to be. Bit strange because I was telling Sarah that there was a guy who looked like him when I realised it was actually him. He seemed to be having fun (well, his kids did anyway). Sarah was a very lucky girl and got all manner of goodies and treats and managed to open them at a very sedate pace which kept her going all day! See photos of some of the frolics. 4月9日 Poole HarbourRob kindly took us out on/in Poole Harbour at the weekend. We went out in a boat called Echo and Lucas did most of the driving, as you can see from the photos! We stopped at the Quay to get some chips then we were off again. You can meet Rob at http://www.hoec.freeuk.com/ 4月2日 Right to ReadLucas was on the news a few times last Wednesday after the Right to Read campaign. Here is the link to the BBC snippet.
We went to lobby our MP at Westminster. Two local families travelled to London, but our local MP didn't show up, even though he responded to one of the two letters saying he would. He is a Tory mind so I wasn't too surprised! Thankfully our MP from where we used to live (Annette Brooke MP - Lucas again) said she would meet us, and did - even though she had broken her hip less than a week before the lobby!
We had a good day regardless and Lucas had a chance to meet up with his Grandpop, which was more important to him than hanging around a Medieval hall at Westminster.
3月27日 Right to ReadLucas, Sarah and I are goin up to Westminster tomorrow to join the Right to Read lobby.
Sign the petition and watch the local news. We have had BBC South and Meridian come around to film Lucas and should be there on the day. 2月25日 PhotosI have added some photos - just before Xmas Lucas got his Mountbatten Brailler.
His Grandpop climbed Mount Killimanjaro to help fund it as they are £2,700 each!
He has basically tought himself how to type the alphabet in braille - he's already faster than me and I've had about a years practice! Also some photos of him at bed time. 2月23日 PhotosThe photos I have added are from our holiday at CenterParcs Nottingham at the beginning of February and from Xmas day when Lucas was trying out his ew Rollerblades and lid.
1月20日 Long timeBlimey! It's been over a year since I did anything on this site - nothing added in 2006 whatsoever. Possibly because I don't have internet access at work anymore. A Birthday, 2 Xmas' and a Wedding. Marcus (see a couple of posts ago) is STILL in Oz and seems to be having a wicked time. Really must keep this up. 12月5日 We're in!Thanks fuck for that! It only took several months longer than we thought, but we are in! We are now officially in residence at the Seldown Eco-Village!
I have also started a new job - well, I'm on the payroll, but I haven't actually done much in the last fortnight - two meetings! One in Yeovil and one in Bristol. Man they were tough!
9月27日 Marcus is off!Well, Marcus has buggered off around the world for a bt, so we had a bit of a get together to see him off, with a Mexican twist. Unfortunately I overdid the Vodka and the Tequilla, so consequently felt like shit the next day... and the day after, but looking at the photos, people had a good time!
See you soon buddy if you're reading this!
9月4日 LucasLucas and I have spent a very productive day. We have practiced going down the stairs; we have played with water in the Garden, and we have e-mailed his Grammy. Wow! 9月1日 StuffGoing to be finding out who actually gets to buy our house tomorrow, which means we are hopefully only 3 weeks or so away from moving into our new place. Also have got my contract through for my new job at Natwest and they are offering what I wanted, so I will be handing my notice in soon. It's all go!
8月15日 Buy My StuffPlease buy my stuff! I need to be shot of it! More will be added later

Beddy Stuff 8月4日 New HouseSar, Lucas and I are moving! We are in the process of selling our house, then will be arriving at The Seldown Eco Village in Poole! We will be in by early September hopefully.
V. Excited! Any future neighbours out there?
6月26日 Dawlish WarrenJust got back from a little trip to Dawlish Warren - we stayed @ Leadstone Campsite where we stayed last year. Nice little place. Had a run in with a local Pub owner; one of the tacky places by the beach - we made the mistake of ordering food. Dia-bloody-bolical. When we complained as the food was so poor it was actually in-edible (this being the first time I've ever actually complained about food) we were told that they don't offer refunds. Bastards. Other than that we had a lovely time. we tried out the new trailer that we got for our bikes. Loads of people started cooing over Lucas when he was in it, but who can blame them. Pictures should be about, so take a look. 6月20日 Lucas' BirthdayOn the 19th June, Lucas reached 3 years old! We had a party at his Grammy's flat and had loads of people over. There were two other VI children there too which was great to witness them playing together. Well done to Sarah for organising most of it - I was next to useless having only recently returned from the gig and a little on the knackered side. Green Day 2005Green Day are officially amazing. A few people went up to the gig this weekend @ Milton Keynes and had a great time, if you ignore the fact my car broke down, I was 3 hours later than I thought I would be getting home (I had to drive a loan car from the garage, who were an hour late picking me up) and we lost Stroker (don't worry, we found him down the back of the sofa). See the pics of the event on this site. We missed Hard Fi, but did catch Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World, who were both pretty good. There were a strange lot of people at the gig, ranging from little kids wearing Billie-Joe outfits with their parents to hardened looking Punks. Green Day's popularity has grown amazingly since the release of American Idiot. They have certainly come a long way since Dookie - the first album of theirs I had way back in '94 (Shit! Thats 11 years ago!). I wish they would release their cover of Queen - We are the Champions. I was amazed at the quality of Billie-Joe's voice! The whole thing was planned and executed perfectly; the songs, pyros, audience participation etc. I want to do it again! 6月17日 Lucas' SiteLucas' Grandpop has created a site for Lucas' news and pics - we are hoping to update it often so everyone can see what he's been getting up to; please go to http://www.lucasmurray.me.uk to see it!
